Urban Chaos at the VS wiki. I liked this episode. I'm not using magic in my own Bard Investigations, so it's good to see some of it in Gotham. And I love the references to DC characters past and present: Etrigan, Zatara, Jason Blood, Kid Eternity, Clancy O'Hara, Harvey Bullock, Composite Superman, Vandal Savage...
Alfred vs. Genghis Khan? Awesome.
Another reference to Lazarus, connected in some way to magic and maybe to Kid Eternity. Hmm.
A pretty good episode, if a little short for my liking.

Composite Superman? I didn't consciously write that one into the story as a reference, but I think it's a sign that the tale is going in directions that the teller isn't aware of. Which is good.
The magic angle got a bit complex. I think I could've put across the rules better in that regard. But I set myself the lofty goal of having all of those characters, and adding a new element to the show, and having Bruce/Alfred be the centre of the piece. These opening episodes aren't big on giving characters breathing space - which ties in with your 'too short' comment. I think the piece moves like a lightning bolt and keeps a solid pace, but maybe a slightly longer epilogue would've helped.
