This place is for general discussion of Gotham.
Non-specific character talk and the like. Anything that isn't directly related to an episode belongs in this thread. That includes trailers, speculation and the like.

Will be interesting to see where you go with this, Ian.

Yep. Especially as I have a rough idea of where the first seven episodes go, and even that may change once the writing begins.

Right. I'm halfway done and it airs Friday. So here's a few little tidbits to keep you fine guys and gals going.
- It's evolved to take on qualities of Veronica Mars, in addition to the earlier mentioned inspirations. In short, that means it isn't afraid to go dark when it needs to. - As of 101, the high school stuff isn't the whole show. In fact, 101 features minimal high school stuff. - There's a LOT of DC Easter Eggs. If you can catch all of them, your geek credentials will never be in question again. - Fair bit of foreshadowing, and... - It has a unique structure.

Okay, 1.02 hints.
- Jennifer has moved into Wayne Manor, so we're going to be seeing more of that location through her perspective. And, as such, find out that she may be indirectly responsible for certain Batman continuity. - We'll meet the CEO of Wayne Enterprises. - Bruce is going to go toe to toe with a fellow student, one who is able to call on certain magical properties. So methinks Bruce will have to think outside the box on this one. - Lazarus will linger in the background, and - There's going to be a swordfight between Alfred and a very interesting character. It amused me to plot, but should hopefully wind up being rather bad-ass.

Hmm. Very interesting.
Student with magical properties. A member of the Zatara family, perhaps? Jason Blood? Who knows?
I'd rather not ponder on this too much. I enjoy being pleasantly surprised.

Blimey. First Etrigan, now the Green Lanterns? You're breezing through DC mythology!

Rule of thumb - the first episode of every season will set up the characters who appear in said season. Not all of them, granted... and some stuff is subtler than you'd expect. But there's a plan.

104 hints
- Picks up a subtle background arc that has been building since the start of the series. - Focuses on Jennifer. - The following will be uttered: "We had to work twice as hard to clear up the mess that you caused. But we don't pass blame or judgement, contrary to popular belief." - It has a unique structure. - The episode is Bruce-light, and the reason for why he has, essentially, a cameo will be explained in the episode that airs a week later.
